O. Delgado - Bugambilia - XL

"Bugambilia" is part of a series of paintings that explore the relationship between the female figure, nature, and the Caribbean visual codes. Through a vibrant palette and expressive brushwork, the work portrays a woman surrounded by lush vegetation that dialogues with her floral adornments and attire. The flowers become extensions of her presence, while the color contrasts evoke vitality, sensuality, and the chromatic richness of the Caribbean landscape. The work proposes a celebration of female identity in connection with her environment, where nature is not simply a setting, but a form of expression, belonging, and character.
