Angiolo Volpe is a Livorno-born painter (1943). His work largely celebrates his homeland: views of Livorno, seascapes, and the rural areas of the Maremma. His style reflects his origins, which brought him into contact with the Macchiaioli group. He has exhibited his works both in Italy and abroad, consistently receiving critical and public acclaim.
He is a contemporary painter whose art is rooted in the great Laobronic/Labronican tradition, while developing a personal and modern language. From a very young age Angiolo Volpe showed a strong vocation for painting, choosing it as his sole raison d’être. His production mainly focuses on landscape, interpreted through a tonal sensitivity that favors chromatic harmony and atmospheric rendering. He is capable of capturing nature in its spontaneity, making it pulse on the canvas thanks to a confident brushstroke and a prudent use of light. Residing in Castiglioncello, he has found in the Tuscan coastlines and inland villages an inexhaustible source of inspiration. His works have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions, receiving wide critical and public acclaim. His painting, while remaining faithful to figuration, is distinguished by a measured composition and a formal clarity that make him a sensitive and cultured interpreter of contemporary reality, capable of conveying emotions.
The frame is offered free of charge as a courtesy and is not part of the sale. Any damage to the frame during transport/shipping will not be considered a valid reason for canceling or filing a complaint about the order.
