Description from the seller
Jaeger-LeCoultre – Moon Dial – Calibre 469 – Stainless steel – Around 1950 – Serviced
Original unretouched photos to guarantee the most natural possible appearance of the watch.
Superb vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre watch from the 1950s, equipped with the renowned in-house manual-winding mechanical movement, Calibre 469.
This piece stands out for its magnificent original dial displaying a particularly distinctive natural patina, nicknamed the “Moon Dial,” due to its silvery and charcoal-gray tones evoking the lunar surface.
Naturally developed over the decades, this patina gives each watch a unique character. It is beautifully highlighted by its applied baton indexes, its elegant faceted hands, and its small seconds counter at 6 o’clock, finely guilloché with concentric circles.
The stainless steel case, with classic and elegant lines, shows a good overall condition with light signs of use appropriate to its age.
Movement and servicing
The watch is equipped with the Jaeger-LeCoultre 469 caliber, a Swiss mechanical movement hand-wound.
The movement has recently undergone a complete mechanical overhaul, including full disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, mainspring maintenance, and regulation.
Servicing performed privately, without professional invoice.
The results obtained on the chronocomparator are excellent:
* Rate: +0 seconds per day
* Amplitude: 315°
* Beat error: 0.8 ms
* Frequency: 18,000 beats per hour
These values demonstrate the excellent operation of the movement at the time of inspection.
A photo of the chronocomparator check is attached to the listing.
