Decorative porcelain female figure with a birdcage – Chelsea style – approx. 25 cm

Beautiful and colorful porcelain statue of an elegantly dressed lady holding a birdcage in her hands.

The lady is depicted in historical attire and wears a richly decorated gown in striking colors. The cobalt blue skirt is hand-painted with flowers and gold ornaments, paired with a yellow bodice, red apron and a gracefully draped pink overskirt. She wears a pink hat with purple adornment.

The statue stands on a rocaille-shaped porcelain pedestal, adorned with small inlaid flowers and gold accents.

On the back of the pedestal there is a gold-colored anchor mark in the style of the well-known Chelsea anchor mark. The statue is explicitly not offered as 18th-century Chelsea porcelain, but as a later-produced continental porcelain statue in Chelsea style.

The underside is largely unglazed within the stand ring.
