A. Asencio presents 'El Sol', an original, vertical acrylic painting on canvas from 2026, signed by hand, with a COA, in excellent condition, sold directly from the artist.
Description from the seller
"El Sol", belonging to the artist's Ritmo series, explores fashion as an expression of identity, attitude and movement. The central figure, wrapped in garments with oversized volumes and bold patterns, assumes a stage presence in which the silhouette and color take center stage. The contrast between deep blue and vibrant red evokes solar energy, while the bodily gesture conveys dynamism and confidence. Between editorial aesthetics and urban culture, the work celebrates dressing as its own language: a way of inhabiting space, setting one’s own rhythm, affirming individuality and turning the body into a statement of style.

Brief bio:
I am especially interested in creating compositions that offer the viewer a vantage point from which they can identify. Whether through discomfort, serenity or contemplation, my intention is to generate a space for reflection and questioning.
Pictorially, I am drawn to vibrant colors, strong saturations and fresh color ranges. I find a great source of inspiration in observing our social and natural surroundings. I often like to imagine that I am observing the planet from very far away; that symbolic distance allows me to reinterpret reality from another perspective.
I explore the universe of the feminine, addressing its multiple dimensions from a personal, sensitive and introspective viewpoint. I am interested in studying the body both at rest and in movement: the former as a space for inner dialogue, contemplation and introspection; the latter, especially through dance, as a path of exploration and self-discovery, where gesture enables connecting with oneself and finding new forms of expression.
Fashion also occupies a place in my work as a visual and personal language, capable of expressing identity, attitude and freedom. I am drawn to the expressive possibilities of clothing, silhouettes and color, understanding the act of dressing as a form of individual affirmation and relationship with the surrounding environment.
