The Garden of the Horses

The Garden of the Horses presents a serene encounter between two animals sharing the same space, surrounded by lush vegetation that seems to envelop them. Their bodies overlap and draw close, creating a scene of complicity and calm.

Valdi moves away from a naturalistic representation to build his own garden through color. Deep blues, yellows, turquoise and reds transform the horses and the landscape, while the large flowers in the background turn the scene into an imagined territory, located somewhere between reality and memory.

There is something affectionate in the proximity of the two animals: a sense of companionship and trust that ends up becoming the true center of the painting. The garden then ceases to be merely a place to become a space of encounter.

A luminous work with character that speaks, from the simplicity of a shared scene, of closeness and the bond with nature.
