Vintage OMEGA Geneve Automatic Gents Watch 1968 .
model number 166.041 and is fitted with Omega’s Cal 565 automatic 24 jewel movement.
Larger sized case at 34mm across, excluding the crown, and 35mm across between the lugs. The gold plated case has a stainless steel screw in case back.
This watch if fitted with the iconic Omega Cal 565 24 jewel automatic movement also found in the top of the range Omega Seamaster De Ville. The movement has a serial number starting ‘27’ dating this movement to 1968.
The gold plating is excellent overall with no noticeable wear through to base metal. The stainless steel case back is excellent and does not have the usual scoring from careless opening.
The date is adjusted by repeatedly pulling the crown to its furthest position, as it is designed to spring back after each click.
