AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

« Or Noir » – Popléa, 2026

When concrete brutality meets the nobility of gold.

With Or Noir, Popléa signs a powerful, sculptural abstract work, where matter becomes the very expression of luxury and strength.

Entirely worked in relief, the composition combines the depth of coal-black with the precious glow of gold. Movements of material, roughness and superpositions evoke raw concrete, carved and shaped by hand.

Gold seems to emerge from the cracks and depths of the surface, like a precious light revealed at the heart of the dark matter.

Structured in three horizontal sequences, the piece plays on contrasts between shadow and light, roughness and refinement, power and elegance.

The generous reliefs capture light from different angles, offering a changing perception of the work throughout the day.

At the boundary between contemporary painting, brut art and wall sculpture, « Or Noir » asserts a spectacular and timeless presence.

A work of character, where concrete becomes precious and where gold reveals all the beauty of imperfection.

The artist Popléa:
If you own this work, you hold an authentic piece signed Popléa.
But you should know: Popléa is a pseudonym.
He or she has not yet revealed their identity — intentionally. This choice is part of a broader artistic project, a form of experiment:
Create without a name, without status, without biography.
The work alone. The image alone. What it evokes. What you feel.
The artist behind Popléa is already exhibited, recognized, collected — but wanted to explore another, freer path. To refuse filters, codes, discourses.
To refuse that it is always the same people — galleries, experts, networks — who decide what has value.
Perhaps what you own is the beginning of something.
Or perhaps it is simply a work that speaks to you, here and now.
Both options are beautiful.
And deep down, maybe that is true luxury.

The work is hand-signed, delivered ready to hang, in 4x4 packaging with insurance included.
Happy bidding
