Through the deliberate exclusion of the golden color a special effect is produced when the light hits appropriately.

The “leitprofil” for the explanation of my pictures is best described in numerous images as a conscious refusal of linguistic definition. For PöP, talking about art is often difficult or even “senseless,” as painting for him represents an autonomous form of thinking that goes beyond what can be verbalized.

He sees painting as a process that starts where language ends. He holds the view that one can only put into words what words can express – painting has nothing to do with that.

In summary: my guiding profile is the openness of the image. An image must be able to stand on its own for him, without external explanation, since any interpretation would merely restrict the image.

An abstract painting by Peter Pölzl no longer looks like a depiction of reality, but like a battlefield of colors and layers. There are no recognizable objects, figures or landscapes left.
