Original mixed media artwork Take Your Space by Serena Grassetti (2026), a 100 × 100 cm unframed canvas hand-signed in excellent condition, depicting nature, shipped rolled from Italy with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
A face emerging from matter and asserting itself before the gaze. *Take Your Space* is a work about identity, self-awareness, and the courage to occupy one’s own space without asking for permission.
The eyes, intense and vigilant, establish a direct dialogue with the observer. The chromatic stratifications, the drips, and the charcoal marks create a surface crossed by tensions and contrasts, where fragility and determination coexist. The natural pigments, extracted and worked by hand, help define an expressive, living, and unpredictable material.
The inscription **TAKE YOUR SPACE** runs across the face as a statement of presence: an affirmation of individual freedom, an invitation to recognize one’s value and not shrink back in order to find a place in the world.
**It’s not just about being seen, but about choosing to be there.**
A work with a strong visual and conceptual impact, capable of transforming a wall into a presence and of initiating a dialogue with contemporary space.
* Shipping and presentation:
The work will be shipped without a frame, carefully rolled on a tube to ensure maximum safety during transport. It may be framed or mounted on a canvas stretcher at the collector’s discretion.

WARNING:
*The canvas is not treated with plaster or primer, so it is a raw and natural material.
*It should not be stretched too much during mounting to avoid alterations of the texture and the rendering of the natural pigments.
*Do not use the canvas stretcher, as it could compromise the stability of the work.
*It is advisable to entrust installation to an experienced framer for optimal mounting.
Made on raw canvas that enhances the materiality of the work, this piece combines figurative art with the expressive gesture of abstract art, evoking emotion and introspection.
SERENA GRASSETTI — CONTEMPORARY ARTIST
Serena Grassetti is an Italian contemporary artist whose research explores the complexity of the human being, examining identity, memory, fragility, and inner transformation through a personal and multidisciplinary artistic language.
A daughter of art, trained at the Istituto d’Arte in Macerata, she has developed over the years a deep knowledge of material and its expressive possibilities, experimenting with painting, sculpture, modeling, resins, charcoal, and techniques related to Natural Art. This experience forms the foundation of a practice in which the material is not merely support, but an integral part of the meaning of the work.
At the center of her research is the body understood as psychological and symbolic space: a presence capable of manifesting what words fail to express. Through incomplete figures, gestures charged with tension, and forms that oscillate between presence and dissolution, Grassetti gives visual substance to the deepest states of human experience.
Her work participates in the international dialogue of sculpture and contemporary figurative art, thematically relating to the research of Rabarama, Berlinde De Bruyckere, and Xiang Jing, while the dialogue with Andy Warhol, Banksy, and KAWS opens a reflection on the different ways in which contemporary art interprets identity and the human condition.
With works presented in exhibition contexts in Italy and abroad, Serena Grassetti develops a research aimed at transcending superficial representation to reach a more intimate and universal dimension. Her poetic is founded on a fundamental principle: to give form to what is not seen, but which deeply determines what we are.
