Fabien Delaube's Fleurs IV (2019) is an original, signed artwork in oil and acrylic on canvas, a portrait in street art style, 50 × 50 cm, 500 g, made in France.
Description from the seller
Portrait composed of flowers.
Fragments of individuals imbued with a poetry as timeless as it is fantastical, the works of Fabien Delaube plunge us into a contemplation in a mirror—one may wonder, which of the two is gazing back at the other? A complete artist. Both a specialized decorator (trained at the Opéra de Bordeaux and with the Compagnons du devoir) and a painter, he first learns audiovisual techniques, and more specifically photography. Later, the artist turns toward a rich and plural education in the visual arts. Trained in mastering the full range of pictorial skills, from classical painting to trompe-l'oeil, his personal art reveals itself in the execution of an original contemporary figurative painting, imbued with dreamlike imagery. Fabien Delaube nevertheless leans toward oil painting, which he likes to apply to perfect the finish of all his works. Mysterious characters. The artist enjoys painting human bodily characteristics, more or less discernible, and they recall forms inspired by African masks or other faces borrowed from the history of theater or military. In trying to decipher the “scars” of color and matter whose faces are partially or entirely covered, one could almost uncover their story.
