Description from the seller

Splendid and rare two-handled vase with its original lid (coeval) in fine English bone china, made by the famous Royal Crown Derby manufactory in 1914. The vase is entirely hand-decorated in the sumptuous traditional Old Imari style, featuring the famous pattern No. 6299, universally known among collectors as the "Imari Witches" (or Witches pattern). The rich color palette combines the deep cobalt blue underglaze, the overglaze iron red, and a dense and refined gold filigree finely burnished to an agate tone. Authenticity and Dating Certified: The piece is an authentic Edwardian/early 20th-century antique. On the base of the vase and inside the lid are the original factory marks impressed in red over enamel. The authenticity and the exact year of production (1914) are rigorously guaranteed by two unequivocal archival elements: The inscription "ENGLAND" placed vertically to the right of the crown (a mark used exclusively in 1891–1921). The annual cipher in the form of a triangle (△) stamped under the monogram, which for this specific mark corresponds to the year 1914. There is also the pattern number 6299 handwritten and the painter's batch/lot number 476. Showroom-condition, excellent for the object's age (over 110 years). The porcelain shows no chips, hairlines, cracks, or hidden restorations. The lid is original and perfectly paired (it bears the same exact coeval mark as the body). The gilding and enamels are vivid, glossy, and incredibly well preserved, with very slight and noble signs of age on the upper gilded grip that attest to its absolute authenticity. Interior perfectly clean and free of stains.
