AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

An interesting jug from the "FLORIDA SERIES" designed by Heinrich Löffelhardt and made by Schott Zwiesel, Germany around 1952. Heinrich's design activities were at their height in 1950-1960. He was especially interested in the use of kalium, ash and other chemical additions which created bubbles in the glass as well as a fascinating, naturalistic effect. His wide assortment of designs are still today being discovered as many, in the time that they were made, were undocumented, This rare piece could well be such an item.

The vase is 22cm. high x 18cm. diameter, top measures 7cm., a sturdy foot of 8.5cm. and weighs 2900 grams.

The condition is excellent, no chips or cracks. What may appear to be damage around the top rim, was caused in the firing where the chemicals have risen to the top edge. This is not damage, just authentic for this product and does definitely not affect the beauty of this jug. {See 6th photo).
An interesting addition to a glass or vase collection.

Careful packaging will ensure a safe delivery. See my feedback on Catawiki.
