Thabeik - Bowl - Silver

A beautiful pair of miniature Burmese silver bowls in the thabeik form, from the late 19th to early 20th century.

The bowls are richly decorated in high-relief repoussé and chasing, with lions, a horned deer and different kinds of birds among dense leaf foliage.
Both rims are decorated at the top and bottom with beaded and chased borders.

The interiors are gold-washed.

Both bowls are acid tested silver. The undersides have dot-punched maker's mark.

Condition is good. There are some dents, some patina and light surface wear, and some residue from previous polishing inside (see close-up photos). The sculptural work is fantastic, and overall they look really beautiful.
