Art Deco Gouda -gloss porcelain decanter, model 369, Decor Fleva, is signed.
It is from Plateelbakkerij de IRIS GOUDA. Handcrafted and decorated (painted).
The factory dated from 1925, founded by Johannes Marinus Montagne. (1899-1926).
The pitcher is a bulging-bodied jug with at the neck separate "dimples" and a neck knob. (handle).
The jug is hand-painted with flowing bands in beautiful autumnal tones. See the separate photos
Note: after the artist’s death his wife continued his work.
Given my age (88 years) I have had the jug for many years in my possession, I am now letting it go so that others can enjoy it and give it a nice place. With a lamp on it, it makes for an even more beautiful display.
The jug has no damage or chips. Truly a unique item.
