Timeless Visions: Classical Inspiration

Antonio Soriano 1952, self-taught Neapolitan artist, committed to carrying on the noble school of Neapolitan painting.

Portrait of a noblewoman signed by hand in the lower left.

The subject is a young noblewoman with dark hair and an intense, direct gaze, wearing a light dress and a gold chain with a pendant around her neck.

The style is figurative with impressionist influences.

The painting features visible, thick brushstrokes laid on freely, with warm and rosy variations on the flesh that contrast with the greenish background.
