Description from the seller
The situational visuals are AI visualizations based on photographs of the real object. The photographs of the real object are authoritative. please,
Language of Silence is an abstract work that explores the relationship between matter, sign, and memory. The composition is built around a vast black, deep, textured space, taut with geometric shapes and fragments of warm colors, notably red, ochre, and white.
The white lines, free and winding, traverse the surface like spontaneous handwriting. They seem to trace the contours of an enigmatic language, made of signs, movements and fragments that never fully reveal their meaning. In contrast to these fluid gestures, the more structured shapes evoke an inner architecture, a juxtaposition of planes and memories.
The painting will be shipped rolled in a tube, without the frame.
About the artist: Born in 1966, Jane Grièco is a Brazilian artist living in Brittany.
Since her beginnings under the bright and insistent sun of the tropics, Jane pursued beauty in the thousands of color nuances that light makes shimmer.
Jane Grieco notably exhibited her design creations at the Art & Déco fair in La Villette, Palais Lumière in Évian-les-Bains, Maison & Objet, and in Brazil, Switzerland, Spain.
The work of material occupies an essential place in this painting. The overlays, scratches, traces, and irregularities give the surface a particular depth, revealing the different stages of the pictorial process. Black absorbs light, while touches of red and earthy tones introduce visual energy that animates the whole.
Through this work, I seek to create a balance between construction and spontaneity, between silence and expression. Each form seems to bear the trace of a presence, without imposing a single interpretation. The viewer can thus move freely through the composition and discover their own associations there.
Placed within a research into contemporary abstraction, this painting invites contemplation of the surface as a space of memory, tension, and freedom, where matter and gesture become a language in its own right.
