Le Yack hand-signed by the artist, Vêpres profanes - Hand signed, a giclée print on canvas, limited edition of 20 numbered copies, 40 x 40 cm, produced in France after 2020, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
Description from the seller
A nun's face in a low-angle shot, against a royal blue sky. Impeccable wimple, black veil, porcelain skin… and bright red lips, shiny, slightly parted on a half-closed gaze that has nothing very pious about it.
Le Yack plays here with the imagery of cinema posters and retro pin-ups to sign a pop icon, frontal and insolent. The contrast is total: the rigor of the habit against the provocation of the gesture.
A strong piece, that leaves no one indifferent — made to be the starting point of conversations.
