Description from the seller
Friends of belles-lettres, bibliophiles and seekers of forgotten treasures, please lend an ear.
I regretfully part with a true library jewel: a sumptuous and rare complete 12-volume collection of Alfred de Musset's works, elegantly divided among Poetry, Prose and Theatre, and protected in their original, delicately ornate cases.
What this treasure contains: A 12-volume collection from a remarkable art edition dating from 1948 (published Au Moulin de Pen-Mur), magnificently enhanced by the delicate illustrations of Brunelleschi (notably visible in La Nuit vénitienne).
Condition: Carefully preserved in their period cases. The books stand the test of time with the elegance and grace of great classics.
Reason for parting: Fate parts us as our paths diverge, but I earnestly wish they find a warmer home with someone passionate enough to cherish them as I have.
May the souls of romantics and lovers of fine typography please get in touch.
