About the artwork:
In his series "Flusso," the artist AVENZANO focuses on movement itself. Long, sweeping brushstrokes glide across the canvas, forming wave-like structures reminiscent of water, wind, or dunes. Each brushstroke is performed in a single continuous motion—freehand, with no underdrawing or later corrections. The result is a rhythm that feels alive yet never arbitrary: Every wave follows its own path, and each work bears the imprint of the moment of its creation. Painted on raw, unprimed cotton canvas, the natural texture of the material remains visible, further enhancing the organic quality of the forms.
About the artist:
AVENZANO is a professional painter. He lives and works in his studio in Germany. Influenced by the elegance of Italian design, the rawness of Brazilian Brutalism, and the clarity of contemporary minimalism, his works are characterized by strong graphical elements and a natural, earthy color palette. His practice is defined as much by what he puts on the canvas as by what he leaves out. Central to his work is the aesthetic concept of Wabi-Sabi: the belief that beauty lies not in perfection, but in imperfection, irregularity, and authenticity.
