Tatsuhiro Ide, known as TIDE, has emerged as an international artistic force, celebrated for his minimalist and monochromatic compositions that unveil the adventures of his iconic character—a cartoon-like cat. TIDE's portrayal of this alter ego, whether comfortably nestled or grumpily seated in a cat bed with crossed arms à la Garfield, creates a distinctive and endearing narrative. The detailed settings in TIDE's works evoke the charm of children's storybooks and hand-drawn backgrounds reminiscent of vintage cartoons.

Employing a diverse array of techniques, from expressive spray paint strokes to textured brushstrokes and soft airbrush sheens, TIDE showcases his artistic versatility. These varied techniques contribute to the depth and complexity of his paintings, offering viewers a multisensory experience. TIDE's artistic footprint extends to exhibitions in major cities such as New York, Tokyo, Seoul, and London, solidifying his position on the global art stage.

Tatsuhiro Ide's unique narrative approach, featuring a feline protagonist within a minimalist color palette, sets him apart in the contemporary art landscape. His ability to balance simplicity with rich narrative details resonates across cultures, creating a visual language that transcends borders. In the realm of artists exploring character-driven narratives and merging traditional techniques with modern storytelling, TIDE finds kinship with creators such as James Jean, Yoshitomo Nara, Yu Nagaba, João Ruas, and Ken Kagami. Each of these artists, in their distinctive ways, brings characters to life and weaves captivating tales that resonate universally.
