AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Title: The River Descent
School: European Impressionist School (20th century)
Style: Atmospheric Impressionism
Technique: Oil on canvas
Condition: General condition in keeping with its age, with superficial signs of wear caused by the passage of time.
Circle and artistic influence:
The composition is linked to European landscape painting developed between the late Impressionism and the early decades of the 20th century, particularly with painters interested in humid atmospheres, river landscapes and reduced chromatic ranges. Its grayish tone and light brushwork recall naturalism and tonal Impressionism.
Riverscape with a misty atmosphere in which a watercourse descends from the distance toward the foreground. Bare trees flank both banks and visually guide toward the horizon. The palette is dominated by grays, earth tones and cool hues, generating a sense of humidity, silence, and atmospheric depth.
Frame: Wide-profile frame in gray-blue tones, decorated with fine vertical striations and a discreet inner gold molding.
Observations:
The artwork may incur damage during transport even with proper packing. In such cases, we will require photographs of the damages to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority.
Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by surcharges due to causes such as being outside a continental territory, excess dimensions, or weight of the item. PremiArt will not cover this surcharge under any circumstances.
The courier passing through the Swiss border may experience delays well beyond normal, so, if possible to expedite processing, we will provide the customs number that is holding the shipment so the client can release it and thus reach its destination. Experience has shown this to be the most effective solution for both parties.
Due to the high volume of shipments, it is possible that the order is delayed by more than three days, for which we apologize and thank you for your patience. Any questions about your order please contact us via internal messaging.
