Nicole Lubbers is a Dutch visual artist from the eastern part of the country. She is known for her innovative and distinctive approach to art and works with different styles, techniques and visual forms. Her international career has developed strongly in recent years. Lubbers was proclaimed Artist of the Year 2024 at the Belgrade Biennale, received the Institutional Award of the Municipality of Montecosaro and secured second place at the World Art Awards as Most Innovative Artist 2024. She was also listed among the 100 best female artists in the world and recognized as Master in Art.

Internationally, her work has been seen and planned for exhibitions in, among others, New York, Venice, Florence, Belgrade, Belgium, China and Montecosaro, in addition to exhibitions in Dutch galleries.

A particularly high point is Beyond the Surface, a solo exhibition on Times Square in New York. In addition, Nicole collaborates with artist Michael Lam to present the exhibition Harmony in Motion: Two Artists, One Vision. Two different artistic worlds come together here and form a joint dialogue around movement, color, creativity and transformation.

Delivery and presentation

The artwork is delivered unframed and without a stretched canvas frame. You will receive the canvas carefully rolled, so you can determine how you want to present the artwork yourself.

You can, for example, have the canvas framed or have it stretched by a professional framer onto a stretcher frame.

Important for stretching: please note that for stretching the canvas you need at least 5 cm extra canvas on each side. This margin is necessary to fold and secure the canvas properly around the stretcher frame. Therefore, when determining the final size, allow for a minimum 5 cm extra margin on the top, bottom, left and right sides.
