Pölzl Peter / poep-art - Orizzonte di Cala d'oro (XXL)

Description provided by the artist
This unique original work by Pölzl Peter / poep-art – is 100% hand-painted. Made in Italy

Through the deliberate removal/exposure of the golden color, a special effect arises under certain lighting.

The “leitprofil” for the explanation of my pictures is best described in numerous images as a conscious refusal of linguistic fixation. For PöP, talking about art is often difficult or even “pointless,” as painting for him represents an autonomous form of thinking that goes beyond what can be said.

He sees painting as a process that starts where language ends. He holds the view that only what can be expressed in words can be put into words – painting has nothing to do with that.

In summary: my guiding profile is the openness of the image. An image must stand on its own for him, without external explanation, since any interpretation would merely restrict the image.

An abstract painting by Peter Pölzl no longer looks like a depiction of reality, but like a battlefield of colors and layers. There are no recognizable objects, figures, or landscapes anymore.
