Description from the seller
Discover Chignin-Bergeron Les Christine 2021, an exceptional cuvée signed by Domaine Partagé Gilles Berlioz, a major figure among Savoie wines. Based in Chignin, near Chambéry, the estate works its vines first with organic farming and then biodynamics, with a constant emphasis on expressing the terroir.
This cuvée is produced from Roussanne, the emblematic grape of the Chignin-Bergeron appellation, where it goes by the local name Bergeron. The grapes come from the Châteaux area, a south-facing terroir that lends the wine ripeness, concentration and depth.
In the glass, Les Christine 2021 reveals a broad, refined and vibrant profile. Notes of apricot, honey, flowers and delicate spices unfold into a dense, silky palate balanced by a fine mineral freshness. The finish, long and saliva-inducing, testifies to the precision of the 2021 vintage and the domaine’s distinctive style.
A deeply gastronomic white wine, it superbly accompanies lake or sea fish, poultry in creamy sauces, refined Savoyard dishes, and mountain cheeses aged, such as tomme or reblochon. Serve it at around 12°C to preserve its tension and elegance.
Already very enticing in its youth, this Chignin-Bergeron 2021 has real aging potential: kept in good conditions, it can evolve for several years and develop further complexity. A rare bottle, ideal for lovers of great terroir whites and fine meals.
