Lola Hermoso - Horizonte abierto

Description

Lola Hermoso (Spain, contemporary artist)

'Horizonte abierto', 2026. Acrylic abstract painting on canvas, made on a 3D stretcher frame.

This work explores the breadth of the horizon as a metaphor for freedom, openness, and new possibilities. Through the dialogue between color, light, and matter, Lola Hermoso builds an emotional landscape that does not depict a concrete place, but an inner experience that invites the viewer to pause, breathe, and find their own interpretation.

Her pictorial language sits within contemporary abstraction, with a personal inquiry into the expressiveness of color and the evocative power of painting. The work connects with her series Emotional Landscapes (*Paisajes Emocionales*), in which painting transforms lived experience into visible energy.
