Silver Art Nouveau floral slide locket with 830S inner marks and 835 silver chain, 45 cm long, total weight 17.123 g, locket 5.4 cm by 3.8 cm, used condition with a functioning sliding mechanism and a mirror on one side, no laboratory report.
Description from the seller
Silver sliding locket with a floral Art Nouveau design. Both outer sides bear the same relief of leaves, berries and graceful lines. The two parts slide apart: inside, on one side there is a small mirror fixed with twisted wire. The other compartment is empty and has no clasp to hold a photo.
Both inner sides are marked 830S. On the bail there are 830 and a difficult-to-read additional hallmark, possibly HJ or RH. The maker and country of origin have not been established. The locket comes with a cut-gourmet chain in 835 silver.
Condition: The locket has clearly been worn. The side without the mirror has several visible dents. The side with the mirror also shows a few dents and scratches. At the edges of the mirror there is damage and small pieces are coming loose; the mirror is still usable. The sliding mechanism closes properly. View the photos carefully for the exact condition.
