Music box - 1970-1980

Splendid Christmas music box, very rare in green, with animated decorations, toy-chest shape with painted decorations on top themed around a snowman family. The chest opens to reveal a wintry Christmas scene with animated figures. The top inside is lined with crepe fabric forming a small secret pocket, and there is a wind-up mechanism underneath to operate the music box singing “Vive le vent d’hiver.” Very rare, unlike its red sister which sings Silent Night. Indeed, this green model was produced only in small quantities and was quickly abandoned in favor of the red model.
