Le Yack's giclée on canvas titled L'Horizon d'Ulysse - Porsche 356 Speedster - Hand signed, 40 x 40 cm, edition limited to 20 numbered copies, signed by the artist, produced in France after 2020.
Description from the seller
Above a calanque, on a path of white sand, a silver roadster from the fifties stopped in the shade of a pine. She got out barefoot and leaned against the bodywork, white shirt tied at the waist, a red ribbon in her hair. She looks at the sea, simply.
Since Homer, the Mediterranean has been the sea of departures and returns. Ulysses took ten years to reach home, and every traveler who pauses before this blue asks himself whether he has arrived or if he should depart again. French cinema also filmed Le Mépris facing the wide blue, with a convertible, a woman, and Odyssey in the background. Le Yack revisits this myth and reduces it to a gesture: a stop, the engine off, and the horizon as the sole destination.
Pine grove, calcareous rock, chromes gleaming in the sun, blue shadows on the sand: the whole light of the Var captured in this canvas, which brings summer and escape into a room.
