The artistic vocation of Micheline Le Berre asserts itself very early and is built around observational drawing. Her sensitivity to light and color nourishes her gaze as a graphic designer and painter and accompanies her throughout her career.
Born in Le Mans, she was admitted to the École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, from which she graduated in 1955. She then continued her training in 1959 at the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris and became a pupil of the Cami-Goerg workshop in copper engraving. This training was crowned in 1962 by the Chenavard Prize of the Institut de France.
Alongside her artistic research, Micheline Le Berre collaborated for several press publishers in the field of illustration. She also taught drawing at the Collège d’Enseignement Technique du Mans.
During walks on Breton beaches or in parks and gardens, she painted on the spot numerous gouaches which, under her gaze, become compositions where color and poetry mingle.
