Description from the seller
Art portfolio "Around the World" by André Juillard. Published in November 1992 by Le Pythagore Éditions.
While the standard commercial edition is limited to 747 copies, this lot is an Artist's Proof (Épreuve d'Artiste - EA), ultra-limited to only 30 copies worldwide.
Content details:
• The original rigid cardboard slipcase, fully screen-printed with a vintage world map (front/back/spine).
• The 7 color silkscreens, beautifully printed on premium Rivoli grain naturel 240g art paper, depicting the journey stops: Venice, Krakow, Paris, New York, Oaxaca, Barcelona, and Colonia.
• The 7 corresponding black-and-white preparatory sketch/calendars plates (pencil/graphite), with their construction lines visible.
The 14 illustration plates as well as the text sheets are in pristine, fresh condition. The Rivoli paper has retained its brilliant white color with absolutely no foxing, tears, or creases. The colors of the silkscreens are perfectly vibrant (stored flat and away from light).
The numerous attached photos are an integral part of the description and faithfully reflect the excellent condition of both the portfolio and its slipcase.
