→ In the top left corner, the official DOSAAF logo: circular emblem with an airplane, a rocket, a red star and hammer-and-sickle, surrounded by laurel

--Full technical information (bottom of the poster):

-Graphic Editor / Художественный редактор: Н. Д. Михайлов (N.D. Mikhailov)
-Tech Editor / Технический редактор: Э. И. Саранин (E.I. Saranin)
-Corrector / Корректор: В. Д. Синева (V.D. Sineva)
-Publisher / Издательство: ДОСААФ СССР, 1983 г.

---Historical context:
The DOSAAF (Добровольное Общество Содействия Армии, Авиации и Флоту) was the mass paramilitary organization of the USSR, created in 1927 and counting over 40 million members at its peak in the 1980s. Its role was to prepare young Soviets for the defense of the country through schools, clubs, and technical and military training courses (shooting, driving, parachuting, mechanics, aviation).
The IX Pan-Russian Congress of DOSAAF was held in 1983, during the Cold War tensions: the Euromissile crisis in Europe, the Soviet-Afghan War ongoing since 1979, and a renewed arms race under Reagan. This poster explicitly calls on “young men and young women” to engage in DOSAAF technical training to “strengthen the economic and defensive power of the country of the Soviets.”

The image of the woman at the wheel is particularly significant: it illustrates the gender equality promoted by the Soviet regime and the central role of women in the defense and production effort. This representation of the “active and competent Soviet woman” was a pillar of formal propaganda.

---Technical specifications:

Format: large vertical format, 41 × 57.5 cm
Technique: multicolor offset print
Period: 1983
