Regulation heavy helmet of the French Army, Model F1 (Série 78), made of manganese steel 1.2 mm thick. This historical piece was produced during the Cold War, a period when it formed the standard issue equipment of the French forces.

Authentic combat helmet Model 1978 (also called the F1 helmet) of the French Army, complete with its camouflage helmet cover.
This manganese steel model was designed to replace the Mle 1951 helmet and equipped French soldiers (infantry, naval troops, etc.) from the late 1970s and throughout missions in the 1980s and 1990s.
The shell bears the original factory stamp in white ink, perfectly legible at the bottom of the helmet: "DUNOIS COUSANCE 1979",

This helmet is signed by the soldier.
