Description from the seller
“Mars” — “Mars”
Artist: Anna Khora (Anna Khora)
Dimensions: 150 × 115 cm
Style: Symbolism, metaphysical painting, surrealism
Description of the work
“Mars” is a metaphysical journey into the world of force, energy, cosmic elements, and the inner transformation of the human being.
In this work, the artist and gallerist Anna Khora turns to the symbolic image of Mars, the planet that since ancient times has been associated with fire, will, valor, struggle, and the creative force.
In the center of the composition appears a mysterious female figure that unites the human and the cosmic. Her face, turned toward the unknown, expresses serenity and determination. It is not merely a portrait of a woman, but the symbol of inner strength, independence, and the capacity to face the chaos of the surrounding world.
A special place in the composition is occupied by the spiral, which simultaneously recalls an ancient symbol of infinity, a cosmic whirlpool, and the motion of energy in the universe. It represents the continuity of life, the cyclic nature of time, and the eternal aspiration to develop.
Numerous spherical shapes, resembling planets, move through the space of the canvas, creating the sense of a complex cosmic system in which everything is in constant interaction. They symbolize different worlds, destinies, and energies connected by invisible forces.
Gold becomes one of the main philosophical and emotional elements of the work. Its sinuous lines resemble tongues of fire, electric discharges, and streams of incandescent energy. It is a metaphor for fire, the element of Mars, embodying passion, determination, vital force, and the capacity for transformation.
The golden threads cut through the composition as energetic connections between the human being and the universe. They link the planets, the spirals, and the female figure, underscoring the idea of the unity of all that exists.
The restrained palette of graphite tones, silvers, blacks, and earth tones contrasts with the radiance of gold. This contrast reveals the opposition between light and darkness, matter and spirit, stillness and movement.
From a philosophical perspective, Mars is presented in the work not only as a planet or as the mythological god of war, but above all as a symbol of strength: — inner force, energy within that enables the human being to overcome obstacles, break old boundaries, and create a new reality.
The female figure becomes the embodiment of this force. The artist unites the external power of the cosmic element with the inner stability of the human being, showing that true strength does not necessarily manifest through aggression. It can exist in silence, in consciousness, in dignity, and in the ability to govern one’s own destiny.
“Mars” by Anna Khora is a work about the inner fire, the infinite movement of the universe, and the strength of the human spirit. It is a reminder that each of us carries within our own cosmic energy, capable of transforming the world around us.
