Description from the seller
"La Roca"
Artist: Anna Khora
Dimensions: 140 × 100 cm
Style: Symbolism, philosophical painting, surrealism
"La Roca" is a philosophical allegory about the human quest, the desire to reach the truth, and the limits of our perception of reality.
An imposing rocky massif becomes a metaphor for the path of life. Along its vertical walls climb several climbers, overcoming obstacles in search of a longed-for fire, symbol of truth, inner light, and the purpose of our existence.
However, completely absorbed by the difficulties of the ascent, they fail to perceive the essential: a cave hidden among the rocks, inside of which the fire they so long for already burns. Their gaze is limited to the distance of an outstretched arm and all their attention is focused only on the next step.
Only from a higher perspective, gazing at the mountain in its entirety, is it possible to discover what remains invisible to those who are too close.
Through this symbolic composition, Anna Khora explores one of the great paradoxes of human existence: sometimes, the more we strive to reach a goal, the more we move away from understanding where it is really located.
The work invites the viewer to transcend the limits of ordinary perception, free themselves from a narrow vision, and discover a broader perspective of their own reality.
"La Roca" reminds us that, to find our true path, sometimes it is not necessary to keep climbing, but to take a step back and observe from a distance. Because what is essential does not always reveal itself to those who look most intently, but to those who are capable of contemplating the whole.
