Germany - NVA Paratrooper Combat Vest - Military equipment

In the picture is an original NVA paratrooper combat vest from the former GDR. This vest was developed specifically for the elite paratrooper unit of the National People's Army (NVA) as well as for special units of the Ministry for State Security (MfS).
• Pattern: It features the characteristic striped camouflage pattern (also colloquially known as “One Stripe – No Stripe” or raindrop camouflage).
• Condition & details: At the collar you can clearly see the typical white DDR size label marked m48 (which corresponds to a men's size Medium or 48). The vest has integrated magazine pockets (bottom left for AK-47 magazines) as well as various chest and universal pockets for combat gear.
The NVA paratrooper combat vest is among the desirable collector’s items in DDR militaria, as it was produced in significantly smaller quantities for special units compared to regular service uniforms.
