Description from the seller

This refined antique service is composed of a total of 14 goblets in fine crystal, signed or attributable to the historic French manufacture Baccarat, in the historic and sought-after model 'Écailles et Filets' (also known as the Scales and Fillets Model).
The lot is perfectly balanced for the table and is divided into two distinct sizes:
• 7 Water Goblets: the seven largest glasses of the set, characterized by a more capacious bowl and greater height (about 15.5 cm).
• 7 Wine Goblets: the seven glasses of medium size, proportioned for serving red or white wines at table (about 14 cm).
All 14 pieces share the distinctive features of this famous early 20th-century artistic execution:
• The Filets (Filets): Three thin horizontal lines engraved in mirror surround the top of the smooth bowl, giving a strict geometric and elegant look.
• The Écailles (Scales): The lower half of the bowl is entirely hand-worked with a honeycomb-like grinding. The small concave diamonds create a magnificent visual interplay that captures light, highlighting the purity and refractive index typical of Baccarat lead crystal.
• Stem and Foot: The bowl sits on a slender stem with an elegant knot joint, ending in a smooth and stable circular base.
This service represents a timeless classic of French glassmaking art from the Belle Époque, perfect for use on special occasions as well as a precious collection set.
They do not bear the maison's classic mark, produced before the introduction in 1936.
Good condition, normal signs of age and wear, intact..
See photos for the condition and measurements of all pieces.
I do not ship outside the European Community.
The lot will be carefully packed and shipped in a reinforced polystyrene box.
