Description from the seller
Large vintage table lamp in Strindberg style – Brass & Opaline glass – circa 1960/1970
A very elegant and monumental table lamp in the iconic Strindberg style, dating from the second half of the 20th century. This concerns the sought-after large version with an impressive height of approximately 59 cm.
The lamp features a heavy, fluted (grooved) brass column base resting on a broad, stable round base. The iconic, mushroom-shaped shade is made of high-quality white opaline glass (hand-blown quality), providing a very warm, atmospheric and diffuse spread of light.
The timeless design combines influences from Art Deco and Jugendstil, making this lamp a striking feature in both a classic Hollywood Regency and a modern eclectic interior.
Specifications:
Height: approx. 59 cm
Diameter of glass shade: approx. 30 cm (Collar diameter: 10 cm)
Diameter of base: approx. 25 cm
Material: Solid brass / brass-look alloy and opaline glass
Fitting: E27 (suitable for modern LED lighting)
Condition:
The glass shade is in excellent, undamaged condition without chips, cracks or deep scratches. The brass base has developed over the years a beautiful, authentic patina with light signs of aging and oxidation spots (see photos). This gives the lamp its well-worn vintage character. If desired, the base can be easily polished to a high gloss by the buyer. The lamp has been electrically tested and works perfectly.

The lot is shipped very carefully (double-carton).
