Sculpture - Lion head - 48 cm - Wood - 1950-1960

Wood sculpture from the early decades of the 1900s. Entirely carved and sculpted by hand, it depicts a lion's head or a phytomorphic figure. It probably adorned a sacristy piece of furniture, where it was used to decorate furniture referred to as 'bambocci'. It shows an aged patina and has never been restored as it was not necessary. It measures 48 x 18 x 23 cm.
