2019 Domaine Sainte Croix "Magneric" - Corbières - 6 Bottles (0.75L)

The origin of the name, “Magneric”, is a Grenache Noir vineyard exceptionally qualitative located isolated in the hills.
Organic wine.
Grape varieties Old Carignan Noir at 29%, Old Grenache Noir at 31%, Syrah 35%, Mourvèdre 5% Vines trained in goblet with two eyes and aged 60 and 105 years for Grenache and Carignan respectively. The Syrah is pruned as a simple guyot.
Aging sur lies in stainless steel tank (30%), and in French oak barrels (228/300/400 litres) for 16 months.
No fining, tangential filtration.

Color fairly deep with purplish-red highlights. On the nose and in the mouth, notes of blackberry, wild raspberry, cassis and fig, accompanied by a light woody note.
The richness and concentration are balanced by the freshness of the Carignan.
Tannins, both dense and fine, fill the mouth of this wine, which finishes with aromas of cassis, prune and crushed stone.
