Description from the seller
In Calma Emotiva, Masini proposes a reflection on the human being's capacity to find balance even in one's most complex transformations. The work does not describe a state of absolute quiet, but a calm that is attained, fragile and authentic, which arises from the acceptance of one's restlessness.
Daniele Masini is a contemporary painter from Forlì, born in Forlì in 1951, a city where he lives and works. After studies at the Istituto d'Arte di Forlì, in 1973 he graduated in Scenography from the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna. His scenographic training has deeply influenced his artistic language, characterized by dynamic spaces, visionary atmospheres, and a constant tension between reality and imagination.
Throughout his long career he has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, receiving important recognitions and the appreciation of critics such as Franco Solmi and Raffaele De Grada. His painterly research moves between figuration, symbolism, and dreamlike dimensions, giving rise to works of intense evocative power in which the human figure becomes a vehicle for existential and poetic reflections.
Masini's works are distinguished by a refined technical quality and by the ability to transform factual reality into a narration suspended between memory, dream, and introspection. His work represents a constant inquiry into the human being and the deep dynamics of emotion, through images that escape any simple definition and invite the viewer to a personal and meditative engagement.
