AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Missale Romanum
Kemptener Edition, 1777
It is throughout magnificently illustrated with 12 full-page engravings (including a plate with two representations). Large vignettes and decorative initials. Text and musical notation printed in red and black, two-column, within an ornamental frame.
Large image of the Last Supper (engraved by R. J. Storcklin 1723–1756).
1. Missale 542 pages
in addition bound with various newer, 19th-century Catholic writings, such as:
2. Commune Sanctorum + Misse Sanctorum + Index - 122 pages
+ others - about 40 pages.
37 cm x 25 cm
The additional, later religious writings are bound with the main text into several volumes. Occasionally repaired. No loss of text.
Contemporary, gold-tooled full leather binding with brass fittings and two clasps. The clasps are intact (because of the extra texts the clasps are a bit hard to open and close).
.
Binding firm, text and musical notation mostly in very good condition.
Overall acceptable, good condition.
Please look closely at the pictures. Possibly also ask questions to avoid later complications and complaints. (The book is too heavy to be sent here and back).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The book weighs a lot. The package weighs over 5 kg. Therefore practically no shipping outside Europe (from Denmark shipping outside Europe costs about 80 EUR).
