Description from the seller
AMA • Pope (1985) - "Aurora GetRich" - 10/20
When wealth becomes a luminous obsession.
Following the success of the Aurora Borealis series, Aurora Genuine Fake Original, Aurora Authentic Fake... AMA continues its ironic exploration of contemporary myths, between social success, pop culture, and the fantasy of absolute wealth.
"Aurora Get Rich" – Get Rich Or Die Trying transforms a brutal mantra of modern culture into a luminous, chrome, hypnotic, almost ritual object.
On the front face, the message is clear:
GET RICH, accompanied by an iconic wink to the double C, the universal symbol of luxury and desire.
On the sides, the sentence completes itself, without detour:
OR DIE / TRYING.
A frontal slogan, radical, immediately understandable.
A contemporary injunction frozen in light.
The day: a chrome, cold, desirable icon.
The night: a luminous explosion, hypnotic, almost obsessive.
A brutal contrast between fantasized success and contemporary pressure.
Limited edition of 20 copies for 2025, signed, numbered, and delivered with AMA authenticity certificate.
Fast and secure shipping (bubble wrap, tissue paper, reinforced carton) with signature required.
Specifications:
- 7 luminous colors
- 3 diffusion modes (static, faded transitions, simple transitions)
- Electrical power via USB cord with switch (included)
- Height: 20 cm
- Width: 9 cm
- Depth: 9 cm
Sculpture produced for commercial purposes, hand-finished by artist Pope using a premium polymer vinyl customization technique, including graphic design, precision cutting, meticulous positioning, and entirely manual application of the visual elements.
Who is Pope?
Pope, cofounder of the AMA collective, develops a singular artistic universe powered by a practice of visual arts since childhood, a stringent attention to detail and careful visual research.
Through sculptures, paintings and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and amazed gaze, attentive to both the simplicity and the complexity of the world around him.
Pope mainly draws inspiration from the world around him but also from currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean‑Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name just a few.
Whether it’s for a gift, a keepsake, or your personal collection of contemporary art, you’ll easily find your favorite among our works. Indeed, Pope pursues his urban art passion through street art (streetart) and pop art (popart) (in limited or open editions), addressing a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, the harms of drugs, luxury and haute couture brands, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, and products of the agro-food and fashion industries (sport, sneakers...).
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope likes to mischievously twist labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.
Dear bidders, our collective is making every effort to ensure that all information necessary to appreciate the lot being sold is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description, and photos... After the sale, no unjustified claim will be entertained. Thank you for your understanding.
