The surface is well-preserved with no visible staining or significant degradation. The gold-tone baton hands feature black inserts and luminous tips, showing minor surface oxidation and aging visible under magnification. The lume plots on the hands show consistent aging with the luminous material on the dial.
Case and Crystal
The tonneau or barrel-shaped gold-tone case features honest wear with moderate surface scratches and handling marks throughout. There is visible plating loss on the tips of the lugs, particularly on the top left and bottom left extremities. The stainless steel caseback displays a well-defined classic Seamaster hippocampus medallion. The watch is fitted with a gold-tone knurled crown, signed with the Omega logo, which shows some wear to the plating on its knurled edges. The domed acrylic crystal exhibits light surface scratches and minor wear consistent with age, with no deep cracks or chips visible.
Movement
Inside the case beats the Omega Caliber 565 automatic movement, featuring 24 jewels and a date complication. The copper-colored plating is bright and well-preserved, with clean bridges and a clean rotor. Engravings including "OMEGA WATCH Co SWISS", "TWENTY-FOUR 24 JEWELS", "Ω 565", and the serial number "34037704" are clearly visible.
