Gap of marbled paper at the spine; missing piece of edition at the foot of the back. Title piece in green morocco on the first board. Printed on rag paper. Heads worn and the spine color faded. Illustrated with a plate consisting of a portrait of Bertrand Du Guesclin and two plans, one of the Motte Broon castle, that of his childhood, and the other of the Guarplic castle that he built. Issued from the collection “Archéologie Armoricaine” in subscription. Waiting binding preserved. Ex libris on the flyleaf with two other labels bearing the date 1727 and the FG29 side. Ex libris probably belonging to the Maison Vichy, ancient and illustrious family of the French nobility (head profile and shield adorned with shells of Saint James of Compostela).
