Circle and artistic influence:
The work is part of the European marine painting tradition influenced by Impressionism, with particular attention to light, the reflections on water, and the immediate capture of the vessels. The impasto brushwork and the predominance of blues and whites recall the Mediterranean port painting developed throughout much of the 20th century.

View of a small port in which several vessels appear grouped in the foreground. The vertical masts organize the composition while the reflections of the boats are fragmented on the water by quick and luminous brushstrokes. Blues dominate the scene, accompanied by whites, blacks, greens and small reddish accents that provide depth and chromatic variety.

It is presented with a wide wooden frame in brown and gold tones, accompanied by a light textile mat and a fine inner golden moulding. The frame shows marks and wear consistent with its age.
