Fabien Delaube presents Fleurs VIII, a 2026 original street art portrait in oil and acrylic, signed by hand, 33 × 24 cm, 500 g, produced in France and sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
Portrait composed of flowers.
Fragments of individuals imbued with a poetry as timeless as it is fantastic, the works of Fabien Delaube plunge us into a contemplation “in the mirror” from which we may wonder, of the two, who is staring at whom?
A complete artist — At once a specialized decorator (trained at the Opéra de Bordeaux and at the Compagnons du Devoir) and a painter, he first trained in audiovisual techniques, and more particularly in photography. Later, the artist turns toward a rich and plural apprenticeship in the visual arts. Proficient in mastering the full range of pictorial skills, from classical painting to trompe l’œil, his personal art reveals itself in the execution of an original contemporary figurative painting, imbued with dreamlike quality.
Fabien Delaube, however, leans toward oil painting, which he likes to layer on to perfect the finish of all his works.
Mysterious characters The artist enjoys painting human bodily characteristics, more or less discernible, and they recall forms inspired by African masks or other faces borrowed from the history of theater or the military.
. By seeking to decipher the “scars” of color and matter with which their faces are partially or even wholly covered, one could almost uncover their history.
