Morbelli arte - Pedral - Dish - 24kt gold - ark of a new planet

Arte Morbelli – “L’Arca di un Pianeta Nuovo” – Porcelain plate with solid gold and platinum, Pedral 1999, no. 106

Collectible ornamental plate produced by Morbelli manufacturing in Milan in 1999, entitled The Ark of a New Planet and signed on the back by the artist indicated as Pedral.

A refined artistic workmanship enriched with solid gold and platinum.

As reported on the original Morbelli tag, the plate is an engraved artwork, hand-worked and decorated with enamels, solid gold and platinum. A sought-after decorative technique that combines the precision of engraving with the richness of metal finishes.

The composition depicts a stylized ark sailing toward an anthropomorphic sun, with geometric buildings and sinuous waves. The contrast between violet tones, light background and golden details gives the work a symbolic and distinctive character.

On the back, the original text interprets the boat as a metaphor of the Biblical Ark, symbol of mankind’s salvation and of a journey toward a new millennium.

The piece is marked with the handwritten number 106 and bears the artist’s hot-stamped signature with the date ’99. It retains the original Morbelli tag.
