Luigi Pirandello - Sei personaggi in cerca d'autore - 1921-1921

A precious first edition of Luigi Pirandello's 'Six Characters in Search of an Author'.
The long, cordial dedication by the author to Luigi Almirante, who in the play occupies the role of the father, represents a very rare and particularly interesting element. In fact, Pirandello hands the book, still fresh from the press, to Almirante on the very evening of the world premiere, held at the Teatro Valle in Rome on May 9, 1921.
This volume therefore has enormous, even symbolic value, as it marks the appearance of one of the most important works in Italian literature and celebrates Luigi Pirandello, the future Nobel Prize in Literature in 1934.
