Bozzato (XIX) - Demeure animée en bord de fleuve

Signed Bozzato – Animated riverside residence – Original watercolor – Italian school

Charming watercolor signed Bozzato at the bottom left, which may be close to the work of the Italian painter Attilio Achille Bozzato (1886-1954); attribution remains to be confirmed.

This picturesque composition depicts a imposing old dwelling with turrets and characteristic roofs, built beside the water. A stone bridge spans a narrow passage, while several figures in traditional costumes enliven the scene. In the foreground, a sailboat completes this atmosphere full of charm.

The artist uses a delicate palette of browns, ochres, bluish grays and pastel tones, creating a romantic and slightly mysterious atmosphere.

The meticulous treatment of architecture, the finesse of the details and the subtle light effects testify to a fine mastery of watercolor.

The work is signed “Bozzato” at the bottom left.
